Making friends: inviting someone out
Do'st orttirish: kimnidir birga chiqishga taklif qilish
Siz bir necha haftadan beri kursdoshingiz Ollie bilan seminarlarda gaplashasiz. U yoqimli odam va siz do'stlashmoqchisiz. Ma'ruzadan keyin uni shanba kuni birga tadbirga taklif qilmoqchisiz.
Maqsad: Taklifni tabiiy va bosimsiz qiling, aniq reja (kun, vaqt, joy) taklif qiling va uning javobiga qarab moslashing. Rad etsa ham, eshikni ochiq qoldiring.
You: Hey Ollie, good seminar today, wasn't it?
Ollie: Yeah, it was alright. Bit long, but interesting.
You: Listen, are you doing anything this weekend?
Ollie: Not much, to be honest. Probably catching up on reading. Why?
You: A few of us from the course are going to the food market on Saturday. I was wondering if you fancied coming along?
Ollie: Oh, that sounds fun. Which market?
You: The one by the station. Apparently there's a really good Uzbek stall there, so I want to check if it's legit.
Ollie: Ha, you'll be the judge, then. What time are you going?
You: We were thinking around twelve, and then maybe a drink or something after. No pressure, though, if you're busy.
Ollie: No, I'm up for it. I could do with a break from reading anyway.
You: Great! Shall we meet outside the library at quarter to twelve and walk down together?
Ollie: Perfect. Can you send me your number, just in case?
You: Yeah, of course. I'll add you to the group chat as well.
Ollie: Nice one. See you Saturday, then.
Maslahatlar
- Britaniyada taklifni yumshoq va bosimsiz qilish odatiy: "I was wondering if you fancied…", "No pressure, though". Bu odamga "yo'q" deyishni osonlashtiradi.
- Aniq reja (kun, vaqt, joy) taklif qiling. "Let's hang out sometime" ko'pincha hech qachon amalga oshmaydi.
- Guruh bilan tadbirga taklif qilish birinchi marta yakkama-yakka taklifdan ko'ra qulayroq va tabiiyroq.
- Britaniyada ko'p ijtimoiy hayot pub atrofida o'tadi, lekin spirtli ichimlik ichish shart emas. "I'll just have a soft drink" deyish mutlaqo normal.
