Introducing yourself at orientation

Magistratura boshlanishidan oldingi orientatsiya haftasi. Siz kafedraning kutib olish tadbiridasiz, qo'lingizda choy, atrofda notanish talabalar va bir-ikki o'qituvchi. Yoningizga kurs koordinatori keldi.
Maqsad: O'zingizni qisqa va tabiiy tanishtiring: ismingiz, qayerdansiz, qaysi dasturda o'qiysiz va oldin nima ish qilgansiz. Keyin suhbatdoshga ham savol bering, suhbat bir tomonlama bo'lib qolmasin.
Dr Harris: Hi there, I don't think we've met. I'm Claire Harris, I coordinate the MSc programmes.
You: Oh, hi, nice to meet you. I'm Jasur. I've just started the MSc in Data Science.
Dr Harris: Lovely, welcome! And where have you come from?
You: From Uzbekistan, from Tashkent. I only landed on Saturday, so it's all still a bit new, to be honest.
Dr Harris: Oh wow, that's quite a journey. Have you managed to settle in okay?
You: Yeah, more or less. I've got my room sorted, I'm just, um, still working out where everything is.
Dr Harris: That's completely normal, it takes everyone a week or two. So what were you doing before the course?
You: I've been working in IT for a few years, mostly as a developer. I wanted to move more into the data side, so that's partly why I'm here.
Dr Harris: That's a great background for this programme. You'll find quite a few people with industry experience.
You: That's good to hear, actually. I was a bit worried I'd be the only one who's been out of education for a while.
Dr Harris: Not at all. Oh, and do come to the induction session on Monday, it covers the timetable and the online systems.
You: Will do. Sorry, is that in this building?
Dr Harris: Yes, Room 2.14, just up the stairs. Ten o'clock.
You: Brilliant, thanks. It was really nice meeting you.

- O'qituvchilar ko'pincha ismi bilan murojaat qilishni so'rashadi. Agar "Call me Claire" desa, bemalol shunday chaqiring, bu hurmatsizlik emas.
- "Brilliant", "Lovely", "Cheers" kabi so'zlar britaniyaliklar nutqida juda ko'p uchraydi va oddiy "yaxshi, rahmat" ma'nosini beradi.
